This is a whimsical purse featuring a mother woodpecker and her babies! It is a one of a kind, 100% handcrafted vintage magazine purse made out of an original New Yorker magazine from April 29, 1967. The front cover of the purse features a outdoor scene with industrious woodpeckers in a tree and the back cover showcases a Cartier advertisement for Mother's Day brooches - both from the actual magazine. This purse is constructed with laminated graphics attached to wood veneer and then hand riveted with coordinating vintage style gray metal rivets. The side and bottom panels are made with a black leather insert and the straps are a functional and sturdy black mesh style. This unique purse measures approximately 8 1/2" wide by 11 1/2" in height.
